Netflix Casts Ideal Star for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment
Baroque Works is set to make a major impact in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, although the major clash won’t unfold until season 3, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.
The platform declared recently that Cole Escola is now part of the One Piece cast for the third season and will portray Bentham. Bon Clay can use their power to morph into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve touched with their right hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that figure reinterpreted as non-binary, instead of as a drag artist, in the live-action series, differing from the original manga and animated series.
This performer joins multiple fresh additions set to bring the organization to the screen, featuring leader Mr. 0, played by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as a key member, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who also joins the ensemble as the ruler of the desert kingdom.
Though this character is a key figure of Baroque Works, the individual will be introduced in One Piece the third season. Considering the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden storyline, this represents a major departure in the placement of their first appearance, one that could suggest more adjustments to the plot development.
The actor’s combination of sharp comedic timing and emotional depth makes them a standout choice for the role. Along with their latest vocal work in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and multiple awards for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll add to one of One Piece’s highly regarded characters.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is due to premiere for its season two on March 10th, 2026.
