The defender's recovery is moving forward well, giving hope that the Real Madrid right-back might return soon enough to play against his former team Liverpool in November's European match.

The English player sustained a muscle problem while playing against French club Marseille in the initial phase of the tournament on September 16.

Alexander-Arnold had to leave the field in the fifth minute, with early estimates pointing to a possible layoff of up to a month and a half.

Real Madrid are set to play at Liverpool on November 4 for the European fixture—just seven weeks since the injury occurred.

Reports familiar with the player's condition state that the player's healing process is advancing well, and there is expectation that Alexander-Arnold could achieve his initial comeback to Liverpool's stadium after moving to Los Blancos in the summer.

A longtime Liverpool fan, Alexander-Arnold earlier said that leaving the club he entered as a young youth talent was the "most difficult choice he's ever made."

During his tenure with the Merseyside club, Alexander-Arnold accumulated over 350 appearances, contributing to win multiple Premier League championships, a European Cup, and the FA Cup.

Since joining to Madrid, Alexander-Arnold has featured on five occasions in various tournaments, totaling 156 minutes of game time.
