19 of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev secured his maiden championship for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the competition final.
The athlete, a former number one, has had a challenging year, winning just one win at the big events and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.
His varied form on the ATP Tour - and issues with his service game in specific - resulted in him falling of the elite rankings and ultimately separating with former coach Gilles Cervara.
Currently working with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually progressed in the past month - culminating in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over opponent Moutet.
This represents the player's first championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard court from that period of that year.
Success also indicates the Russian has won 21 championships at twenty-one different tournaments.
"It's the first time I have attended a event with my children together, so to secure a championship is particularly special," said tennis professional the champion.
"This victory is in dedication of my second daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his past six championship matches, including in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's counter-punching strategy and recurring outbursts on the playing surface had prompted observers to question if his ability to perform at the highest level was over.
But the player has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to advance forward and compete assertively, backed up by an better serve.
He came back from a break down in the first set against the challenging opponent, securing four of the final five points to go ahead.
Both players traded breaks in the middle set before Moutet, attempting for his maiden tour championship, took control to push for a decider.
He rescued 4 early opportunities in a close third set before the Russian secured a break to that score to serve for the match.
Appropriately, Medvedev earned victory with a point at the front of the court, with Moutet unable to handle a shot after over two and a half hours.
