Dean Henderson Was rarely tested required before the break before forced to intervene from an opponent's curled attempt. His sliding tackle against an Albanian attacker showed his game intelligence. Six out of ten

The debutant Challenged by Albania’s main danger through Hoxha. Operated through the middle early on later drifted out wide once a teammate entered the fray. 7

John Stones Moved up the pitch on the ball, a familiar role before. On occasion seemed hesitant when carrying play and the experiment discontinued at half-time. 6

The tall defender Always dangerous on corners and free-kicks, per usual, could serve as an alternative for his teammate in the backline as opposed to paired with him. One wayward distribution in the second half almost led to the first goal for Albania. 6/10

Nico O’Reilly A further composed performance from the 20-year-old following his first cap versus Serbia. A teammate did not capitalize on the opportunity from a gorgeous touch behind the Albania defence. The role is firmly his so soon. 7/10

Adam Wharton His maiden beginning for his country. A bit sloppy on the ball but his whipped corners posed a danger. A handy pace-controller for the boss to utilize against sides that sit back. Booked for a rash tackle. 6

Declan Rice Deliveries from corners and set-plays were dangerous. Enjoyed license to drift on the left yet found himself offside upon receiving in front of goal. Given a merited rest on the hour mark. 6

The star midfielder Played in an advanced role on the right and also did plenty of dirty work. Showed flashes of quality and mishit a shot over. Replaced late on for a teammate, his competition, following a yellow card. 7

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with the team's clearest opportunity of the first half, his shot excellently kept out by the opposing goalkeeper. With a teammate staying deep, he had to provide width out wide but his crosses from wide areas were hit and miss. Replaced with 15 to go. 6/10

The captain The difference-maker with his seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth finishes at international level. The opener a typical opportunist's goal and the second a superb header having drifted away off his defender. At 32, he’s only getting better and England have every chance in the upcoming tournament with him leading the line. 8/10

The attacker Struggled to get into the game from the left. Was presented with a good opening when set up from a teammate but Strakosha kept it out. Rashford made much more of effect in his place. 5/10
